My wife thinks I’m crazy when I bring this up, there are at least four celebrities I distinctly remember passing away in the last ten years that I disturbingly find out they are still alive. Many of these celebrities I remember had a couple of days of discussion on the news and social media. These celebrities for me include Ed Harris, Neil Diamond, David Byrne “lead singer of talking Heads” and Mel Brooks. I remember I was in Cleveland Ohio about five years ago when the Mel Brooks announcement was made, the next day his daughter read a beautiful letter she wrote to her father.
Ed Harris was about three years ago, he died of cancer. I remember because he is such a great supporting actor and one of my favorites. David Byrne was about five years ago, I really can’t remember the specifics of the illness that took him down, then I see him on some horrid Dolly Parton New Years Eve special my wife was streaming. Neil Diamond was about eight years ago I guess, I believe he died of some cancer, again I see he’s alive and kicking. Am I nuts? Suffering dementia? Has anyone here have similar memories?
