Marketing announced without asking the programmers. None of corporate America has ever learned that software projects always take longer than anticipated. Always. I would give a realistic estimate, and management would say I didn't know what I was talking about. They didn't know squat about programming. I have Asperger's and had to tell them the actual truth.

My point is that I am growing weary of being promised great things in the future only to have them never materialize in the present.
