Last year I drove through California. I went to high school there and haven’t been back in years. so much is changed.
What really got me with all the liberal ideologies, bizarre laws, cult like stupidity- environmentalist nonsense —was how lovely the people were and how beautiful that state is.
The wealth is staggering, yet that state went into bankruptcy. The illegal migrants, the corrupt politicians, local, and state….ect, ect..
I find it hard to believe that some of these wonderful people vote D and are liberals.
I won’t take travel assignments there anymore, because the cities with the greatest needs -are the cities in the greatest disrepair. Plus the taxes are outrageous. It’s just not worth it.
It’s funny that other states want to adopt these ideologies when California doesn’t even feel like it’s part of the United States anymore!
Also, I saw something years ago about how the dams are in such disrepair that it would only take one mishap to have them flood into the larger cities. And yet they spout off about conserving water.
When I was there, during the heaviest rains on the southern border of Mexico, the waste from Mexico floats up to US soil, ocean, waters, and pollutes that water way. Yet no one talks about it.

...valid observation, nicely stated and framed....
