How? Russia isn't exactly a "central location", it isn't happening under the guise of citizen riot control "for use in the war against Ukraine", and the Marines don't even get mentioned. I am genuinely curious how this makes more sense to you now.

Except this is movement FROM Afghanistan to Russia, not from Russia TO Afghanistan. It's "movement of MIL assets to central location". Alright, you admit Afghanistan is the central location, I'll agree, it is a central location, but this is movement in the opposite direction. So how does this post highlighting movement in the exact opposite direction add anything?
I said it makes more sense "now" as in...
when the pullout of Afghanistan was happening it made less sense as to why it was happening that way.
