Good post, and I think this is just another good awareness and reason Americans will never give up their guns. On some level, gun owners know that they will be needing them if the machetes ever come out. (In whatever form)
Also, most blacks in this country are not the machete types, unlike Rwanda.
Non-US blacks tend to dislike African-Americans in general, I've had many veteran friends tell me stories about watching the AAs on deployment getting immediate disrespect from Africans and wondering where the mythical "black brotherhood" is to be found.
