This is interesting, we should also be looking at kids consumption of energy drinks, those things are pure garbage. My nephew drank 3-4 of them a day and he had a heart attack at 17. It's scary stuff.
The whole energy drink thing is a serious problem, gas stations just sell them to any 10 to 12 year old and kids buy them by the boatload. I was talking to a guy who worked behind the counter at a gas station and he told me before and after school dozens and dozens of kids come through and buy two big energy drinks each.
I like that kids can't buy cigarettes and beer. Energy drinks are just as bad for kids under 16 as beer. They cause serious heart damage, there are endless studies done way before covid was a thing.
I had great parents, but I still snuck out and bought beer on the weekends when I was 15 from shady stores. Then eventually that store got in trouble and stopped and I couldn't buy beer.
