Latin America???

Why in the ever lovin' hell was the term "Latin America" used by the Pentagon in the 22nd century on February 3, 2023?

"Latin America" is a 19th century term referring to regions in the Americas that were ruled by the Spanish, Portuguese and French empires. The term never had a precise definition but was used to describe South America, Central America, Mexico, and the islands of the Caribbean.

Dear Pentagon: It's 2023. What f'ing country are you talking about?
