Personal observation here in Ontario. I have all of the sudden seen a few grocery chains installing barriers with electronic gates blocking entrance to the store. This could easily be rigged to deny entry if you can't get the magnetic locked gate to open. This in place would have made it much easier to keep anyone without a mask or vax QR code out in 2021. Are they prepping for total control? Anyone else see this?

I'm not in Canada so my perspective comes from a cousin who lives in Vancouver. He says things are pretty effed up but has not mentioned the grocery store barrier. My question(s):
Please elaborate on "a few grocery chains"...who? and location? ie. big city where theft could be an issue?
And no, I haven't seen this in my area but if you go to WOKE ATL, you'll find those sort of things as a means to prevent theft.
So smaller city with no crime or history of shoplifting. So far Sobey's and Super Store. These are serious barriers and gave me the creeps when I first saw them.
I just noticed it at the super store in Oshawa this week.
A 'Shwa fren! Cheers...
King Soopers/Kroger’s in Colorado have installed them for shoplifting deterrence.
Fucking sad that they feel they need to do so. Colorado has become a complete shithole under demon pole ass rule.
This! ☝🏻I don’t know where you are in CO but they just started the stupid “bag law” in our area. Maybe it’s for the entire state b/c we live in a “red county” and they followed suit shortly after the blue county I work in implemented this. It makes me so angry every time I go to the store, but especially b/c in the blue county they don’t have bags available at all. The red county groceries at least give you the option of if you want to purchase any bags for 35 cents or so. I can’t remember the exact amount. Anyways, I remember a decade ago making fun of Boulder b/c they started charging 10 cents per bag and now here we are. Commie California coming to city near you. 🙄🤦🏼♀️ I’m not gonna make it in this state until retirement.
Poleass made that law statewide. Social justice at its worst. Now people will have to buy bags for trash.
And no info on where the bag tax collected goes. Dems adding tax after tax calling them ‘fees’ illegally. I’ll be using self checkout and not paying for them as it’s an illegal tax.
We’re looking to move north and retire for a couple few decades without looking over our shoulders for the mordor shithole hordes following.
