I asked if we were close to Armageddon & it said many prophecies have already been fulfilled & it did believe we were very close- it seemed to implied it did believe the Bible is real.
There is no Armageddon in scripture. There was the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem in 70AD just like Jesus said... "THIS generation shall not pass till all these things take place." The earth never passes away.
It was a localized judgment. Not a destruction of the WORLD. Those are different words in the original languages.
All the prophecies have been fulfilled except those of final judgment when Jesus returns. But then that's it. Game over. Only those in Christ (like the ark) will be spared from Gods wraith. The wicked will be destroyed "Just as in the days of Noah"
Now are we close to final judgment? Possibly but I pray we are not until evil is exposed and people turn to Christ.
"God wins" isn't just a slogan, it's the theme of the Bible. "Every head bows, every knee bends, every tongue confesses that Jesus is Lord"
If you live your life like the world is going to be destroyed you are not going to fight and build like the Christians that built this nation and the church fathers that started projects that their grandchildren would need to finish.
The destruction of the world and rapture is the greatest lie the devil ever interjected into the church and it happened about 200 years ago. It's NOT what Christians traditionally believed at all. You can thank the Scofield reference bible for prorogating that view of the end times and neutering the modern church.
You mentioned the best part every tongue confess- I believe pretrib rapture and maybe a “Christian pipe dream “ I have learned a lot lately and become torn - missing bible books sounds plausible- honestly there is so much sooo much coming in, it’s hard. yeah you're welcome! Honestly once you hear it explained and unpacked with what was happening historically at the time and who the audience was it makes so much more sense that the popular modern view.
The symbolism the Bible used in this area is hard to understand for us living 2000 years later but would have been clear to Jews and others living in those days.
