I was watching a rerun of Criminal Minds. Their was a quote from an episode that peaked my interest. Didn't Q ask the question on a few occasions, "when does a bird sing?"
Everbody had guesses about a free bird or a caged bird or whatever. This is the first time that I came across an actual documented quote containing the phrase and it actually referenced the storm as well. May be nothing at all, but it doesnt seem as if the puzzle had been solved yet. Also, this quote was made by JFK's mother, Rose. Seemed interesting to me.
Birds sing after a storm; why shouldn't people feel as free to delight in whatever sunlight remains to them?
Rose Kennedy
Whippoorwill enters the chat...whippoorwill, whippoorwill, whippoorwill, whippoorwill 🤣🤣🤣
Could be double meaning
Nice find. I like it.
OP: Their sentence was a quote...
piqued
would actually be better as "there was a line". because it was a line from a show that referenced a quote. but I also believe that "when does a bird sing?" had been around longer than rose kennedy. (“Birds sing after a storm; why shouldn't people feel as free to delight in whatever sunlight remains to them?”) such as a stool pigeon would sing to the cops. something like that. it was also wrongly attributed to maya angelou by the us postal service.(poor Joan Anglund)
