Hopefully our DoD (Space Force) folks were all over this thing. I honestly believe while it was operating, they (white hats) were doing two things:

1. Jamming outgoing but allowing incoming transmissions. Tease it balloting nanosec bursts to think atmospheric disruptions and keep the search alive.
2. counter intel gathering by listening to it while it was active probing. Knowing the frequencies, energy pulses and timing protocols will tell us what it was designed to do.
