I read that whole thread, and then some. I’m not an attorney, or a banker so I’m unsure if the assertions are accurate, but it sounds about right to me.

I’ve known some “state citizens” guys in my life. They weren’t dumb but seemed a little crazy. One did six months in county for being a wiseass at a traffic stop for a burned out license plate light. His charge was using the State Seal of California on his homemade ID card!
Another brilliant idiot in jail.
