At this point, it should be clear that zero carbon energy isn't about generating energy, it's about removing the carbon customer base.
They promote electric vehicles, knowing full well it's making slaves out of people for the scarce resources required, and a car with no range can't mobilize a citizen militia response to an attack.
In traditional ways yes. Our very "Green" tech relies on fossil fuels. However there are plenty of patents out there that focus on truly renewable methods. Miniature tesla turbines paired with a heat exchange can provide substantial power for individual homes with little to no maintenance. Small groups will start releasing more and more innovations as the days get darker. Scarcity breeds innovation.
