Trains don't just derail themselves. How did it happen?
The train's gear box or something was melting 10 miles before the derailment. I think their dispatch said to keep going until the end. Either it was gross negligence or on purpose.
The "controlled" burnoff makes me think intentional.
Bhopal India circa 1984 would be a better comparison than Chernobyl.
