No, Mary is singularly privileged, chosen by God to be the mother of His son, Jesus. Obviously, she is not God, and no Catholic believes that. As for "praying to angels and saints" -- non-Catholics often confuse "praying" with worship -- the former is simply a word which means "asking" -- see Shakespeare, or phrases like "I pray thee", which have nothing to do with worship.
Catholics do revere Mary and the Angels and other saints as heroes of God, who are capable of interceding precisely as we do, when offering to pray for one another here on earth -- except that they are in an even better position than we are to do so, given they are in heaven, and see God face to face.
Romans 8:34
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Don't need the "saints" and Mary to intercede for us. Is Yahshua not enough?
