Rockefeller petroleum based medicine. Natural medicine was basically outlawed and made to be crazy. He funded the creation of the American Medical Association.

And used the AMA to shut down Medical Schools that would not adopt his petroleum medicine. After that was a big part of creating the curriculum of the remaining colleges to focus only on virology/petroleum based medicine. It was also easier to scare people with invisible viruses. Frederick Gates was also involved with this process.
