What if everyone just started to carry? Responsible gun owners (registered or not) who everyday carry are the silent ones. They don’t pull out their gun to show people they’re carrying.
I fortunately do not live in a Bolshevik state, but there are still plenty of places here "gun free." One should think long and hard about the consequences of violating those restrictions...but at some point, a person has to defend themselves - law be damned or not. If I were a college student, I probably would consider carrying regardless of any law to the contrary. There ought to be no way of that being found out unless you use the weapon. In which case, that was a decision to either die or become a felon. I'd take option 2 over option 1 every day. Plus, imagine a jury actually convicting you for stopping a campus shooter with an "illegally carried" firearm...
