Which chemical?
Vinyl Chloride
Thanks. It was banned for use in certain products in 1974: https://www.cpsc.gov/Newsroom/News-Releases/1974/CPSC-Issues-Ban-On-Vinyl-Chloride-In-Aerosols.
However, it is used to make PVC - so it's still a common industrial ingredient. PVC is everything from the most widely used plumbing (yikes) to lawn furniture.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Poly Vinyl Chloride!
Wire sheathing too. Reason why it is illegal to burn the sheathing off of scrap wire.
...funny, the NTSB seems no where to b found
Wow. Really? Is this true that chemical was banned? WTF? This is up there with other crimes against humanity.

It was banned for some uses, but it's still widely used. It's the VC in PVC. As far as I can tell, it's still transported all around the country.
