It saddens me to say that the average American is quite stupid about international affairs and politics. I grew up when critical thinking was valued in our education system, and now that system is nothing more than an indoctrination machine DESIGNED to keep people stupid.
Critical thinking was useful at the time when they wanted to break the “monolithic Christian society”. They wanted the youth to challenge everything, question everything, be open for new ideas, hypothesis and that’s how they’ve managed to achieve the current stage.
Now the same values become dangerous to them. It’s very good observation. Thank you!
Honestly, I consider being stupid about international affairs and politics a blessing in a functioning America. Because international affairs and politics are both really fake and gay and really easy. It's only the solutions that have any kind of complications required because human beings are so fake and gay. The inward perfection model mixed in with the manifest destiny model we had was rad because we focussed on ourselves and keeping down anyone that could be considered exploitable within North and South America and we became the world's largest economy because of it. A proper non-interventionist America where the average Joe couldn't tell your Serbia's from yours Bosnias would be infinitely preferable to being global hegemons getting involved in everywhere who still can't tell your Serbia's from your Bosnias.
