So I just saw this post from yesterday:

Last night my Ford Bronco wanted to do an update and said the same type of things (your car won’t be accessible, etc). Never had that before in the 8 months I’ve owned it. Anyone else with a different model or brand get that? Anyone else find it strange Chevy and Ford both have the same type of update put out at the same time?
My daughter-in-law just bought a 2020 Chevrolet Suburban because she has 5 kids and her old vehicle just wasn't running good nor big enough for her family. She and my husband, her's is out of state in the oil fields, had to read the manual to figure something out. The key doesn't work like a key, you simply stick it in and hit a button, or you can start it from your smartphone. I told her if I had to read a manual before I could operate my vehicle, I simply wouldn't buy it. I wish they'd bring back the old 2 and 4 barrel carburetors without any computer systems. Today's vehicles are too complicated for most of us old folks.
Fuel injection is better, by far, than carburetors on ICE. Fuel injection tech peaked in the mid 90s - they had wide-band O2 sensors, and simple computers.
Turning cars into software platforms over the last 10-12 years is where everything has taken an evil turn.
