Widespread auto updates going on?

So I just saw this post from yesterday:

Last night my Ford Bronco wanted to do an update and said the same type of things (your car won’t be accessible, etc). Never had that before in the 8 months I’ve owned it. Anyone else with a different model or brand get that? Anyone else find it strange Chevy and Ford both have the same type of update put out at the same time?

Fuel injection is better, by far, than carburetors on ICE. Fuel injection tech peaked in the mid 90s - they had wide-band O2 sensors, and simple computers.

Turning cars into software platforms over the last 10-12 years is where everything has taken an evil turn.
