The Portuguese detective investigating her disappearance published a book which said the her clothes were found in a wardrobe soaked with so much of her blood that it would be impossible for her to be alive.

Needless to say he was sued to hell and back by the McCanns, he was made to retract it and his book was withdrawn. I would very much like to see a copy of this book to verify it, it was in the Guardian when the Guardian was halfway honest.
