Are you using Tubi already? Tubi is owned by Fox. Not shocking to see them using this type of advertising to be honest. I like Tubi.. A lot of trash but endless classics that are hard to find elsewhere.
I’ve never used it. But it just pops up as a suggestion. I like to watch British murder mysteries, so I have my fulfillment with Britbox and Acorn TV.
Gotcha. Tubi is free, which is why I use it ;) I just opened the app for the first time in a while and saw the rabbit go in the hole and the "Find your next rabbit hole" text. Maybe it's their new slogan. Interesting.
Which do you recommend?
Father Brown - lightweight
Midsummer murder - a little darker
Agatha raisin - upbeat, comical
Vera - dark
Queens of mystery - light weight
Madame Blanc mysteries - light weight
Poirot - Agatha Christie
Sherlock Holmes mysteries (the old original with Jeremy Brett)
Miss Marple - Agatha Christie
Miss Fisher mysteries - Australian based
Blake mysteries - Australian based
Brokenwood mysteries - Australian based
The list goes on and on, but this will get you started. I just love the British murder mysteries. The actors and actresses are normal people with wrinkles, crooked, teeth, and a lot of them are even attractive. It just doesn’t matter. I also like the murder mysteries that surround the Cotswolds, and the villages that people live in in Britain. A lot of the list above represents period pieces. I also like that as well.
After watching British TV for the last three or four years, when I watch anything, that’s an American show, it makes me cringe so bad. I rarely watch American anything. It’s so obnoxious, sexual, and off the chain with all the LGBT stuff. I will stay over the years to British TV. It’s been pushing the LGBT stuff as well though. And it’s kind of a disappointment.
Father Brown and Dr. Blake are my favs.
Thank you. You mentioned the Cotswolds, if you come across any based there and think about it, I'd love to know. I agree about American tv. I have literally not watched a minute of it in years. I couldn't even tell you what shows are on, who the actors are, etc. I have no interest whatsoever. And yes, the Brits push the same garbage and actually, have been allowing nudity and swearing for decades - much longer than American tv. But as usual, Americans have to not only catch up, but far surpass everybody else, even in the most negative ways. Thanks again. If you ever want to discuss these shows, DM me.
