I had a stunning realization today. My grandfather and a few other very old people who seemed to last forever have died recently. But looking around, I realized I don't really see old people anymore, past about 70s. They used to be everywhere, cafes, streets, malls, just doing their thing, people watching, being old. But they just aren't around anymore.
Are they all terrified of COVID still? Did the vaccine kill them off? What is going on is it just me noticing this?
Just went to my husband’s aunt’s 101st birthday party. She lives with her 80+ year old daughter. My mum is 89, and doing quite well (unjabbed).
There are some, still, thankfully. Not enough, though, for the wisdom to be passed on fully. Some kids being born, but not enough, to be the recipients of that knowledge.
