It was probably an explosively formed penetrator directed at the tracks, or DEW.

I am hearing there was a blast cap found, but that was later. It could be a cover up for the use of Directed Energy Weapons in which that would be the perfect target. It's moving, but slow. It's course is easily tracked, and it can not deviate.
