IMDb is an industry registry for film credits. Once a person has appeared in TV/Movie they will be listed. The original post asked about the classification such as Actor, Producer or Self. Trump produced the Apprentice, so he is listed as Producer. Pelosi appeared in an episode of 30 Rock, so she is listed as an Actor. World leaders appeared in documentaries, so they are listed as portraying Self.
