Discussion about the East Palestine railroad disaster did not go like I anticipated -

Some of the highlights-
Because if Democrats really tried to pin this on Republicans, the media would have to ignore that Obama's regulations were watered down and didn't apply to vinyl chloride because of lobbyist pressure. So far it seems both parties want to lob bombs at each other but in a sort of vague way that helps distract from the fact that neither will listen to the safety boards over the lobbyists.
Wait so corporate media is ignoring the huge profits of corporations and pretending that better regulations are too expensive to adopt? Color me shocked! What's next? They will spend a entire primary letting the leading "moderate" candidate pretend that public insurance is unaffordable, despite every country with it spending less than we do?
Only after they run a piece about how saving the environment means showering for 2 minutes every other day and riding a llama to work, followed by a "feel good" story about a grandmother of 8 who walks to works as a greeter at 3 different Wal-Marts so she can afford her heart medication being gifted a 1992 Hyundai Elantra by her equally struggling co-workers, followed by a report on all time record corporate profits, followed by an announcement that the DOJ has decided not to pursue animal cruelty charges against a congressman caught on tape fisting an endangered snow leopard because the next elections are 3 years away and they don't want to appear biased.
I wonder who owns the media? There must be a reason they’re not talking about it.
Warren Buffett is the reason Obama blocked and Biden cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline. Buffett bought his railroad at firesale prices in the wake of the 2008 economic collapse and makes billions transporting crude oil from Canada to the Texas and Louisiana refineries. He heavily finances politicians to ensure that gravy train stays in place and a pipeline doesn't destroy it.
An attempt at damage control takes place-

Hey I'm not the one who calls it "moderate centrism" when a Democrat sides with Republicans on all sorts of unpopular positions. If you don't want to normalize the Republican party, my suggestion is to stop normalizing the Democrats who have the longest history of siding with them.

Supporting something because nothing would’ve been done otherwise isn’t necessarily right. Republicans like to play the hostage game with meaningful policy and legislation. Just a bunch of bad actors. Trying to yell louder than the reasonable people.

Again, enough w the both sides bullshit.

So pointing out that corporate media calls it "moderate centrism" the more a Democrat sides with Republicans is "both sides bullshit". Explain?
