IMO because they believe in Jesus. Jesus terrifies them (the DS ), and they know he'll come again. Also, if you know Jesus lived and died, then rose, it's logical to believe that Satan is real.... What is the greatest lie the Devil told? That he doesn't exist.

That was the logic that helped cement my faith, anyway.
