Hi Frens,
My wife is currently experiencing severe wheezing, cough, and chest tightness. She has dealt with asthma her whole life, but I have NEVER seen it this bad in the 6 yrs. we have been together.
It is getting to the point where she is talking about going to the ER which I am trying to prevent for ALL the reasons we already know.
I had her on an ivermectin (horse paste), vit c, vit d, zinc and melatonin regimen for a couple of days and she seemed to be getting better. she is very skeptical of the horse paste so she stopped after a couple days after feeling better. today we wake up and it seems to be back with a vengeance.
I put her back on the paste, vitamin regimen this morning and told her we need to do this everyday for 5-7 days.
Any other tips or experiences would be greatly appreciated. The last thing I want is her to go to the ER and take some BS COOF test and then we all know how that can end up..........
This board is amazing with these kinds of things and any and all advice, tips, or experiences would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!
Thanks Frens squid
Does she have an albuterol inhaler? Has she used it/did it not work? I am asthmatic, too, and if she’s having a severe attack, the bronchioles are inflamed, swelling, and filling with mucous, all of which make it increasingly hard to breathe. She can seem to be calming down/improving, but it’s really her body shutting down unless she starts feeling like she really can breathe deeply again—and SOON! This is a time you really do need the ER if she feels like she should go. Albuterol relaxes the bronchiole muscles, allowing the progression of the attack to start reversing itself. If it’s a terribly bad attack, she might need other meds, too. I say all this as someone who avoids meds and dr’s as much as possible, but…ya gotta breathe. They will most likely just focus on the asthma, honestly—I wouldn’t expect much other drama, especially if you guys present yourselves with calm confidence about what’s happening and her known history of asthma. She should probably always have an albuterol inhaler with her from here out. I almost never need mine anymore since I’ve improved my health so much overall the past several years, but when it’s needed, it’s needed NOW.
right now she is using a primatene mist inhaler OTC at Walgreens but honestly i think its making it worse.
i just got her some benadryl. she took a dose of ivermectin paste along with zinc about an hour ago and it seems to be easing up.
here in SE Texas the pollen is outrageous which im sure is only making everything worse
If it's allergy related then why not use claritin and pepcid? Both are used a lot in COVID protocols to block different h type histamines.
