Not unrelated at all. Looks like hes got some roots there. The Pale of Settlement, where his family came from, included much if not all of modern Ukraine. Back when it was part of Russia, because you know, Ukraine and Ukrainian nationalism was fabricated to fight commies in the 1900s.
