The only truly secret space programs were the spy satellites, and these programs have been substantially declassified. Insofar as space transportation technology is concerned, you are seeing it all out in the open.
You don't know anything about space technology or what it takes to go to the Moon. It was 1969 technology; there are no time machines. There was no civilian market for the Saturn V vehicle assembly. The Space Launch System, which is the core of the Artemis moon missions, uses 1981 technology. We're doing it all over again from scratch, because hardly anyone is still alive who was part of how we did it the first time. Today, NASA is less capable.
The questioner was just being an asshole, and Young didn't want any part of a publicity gimmick. He did give a bark of disdainful laughter at the beginning of the exchange, which I think pegs his response appropriately.

Only the doubt of the ignorant. SpaceX is leading the way and it is all out in the open.
Good point... Cheers fren...
