For the early birds and night owls: Why is Ohio being specifically targeted right now ?

If the point was to poison the ground to punish right-wing areas and starve us, why target Ohio instead of, say, cornfields in Kansas, potato fields in Idaho or cattle farms in Texas ? Any points where I can start digging ?

I think Ohio rep. Jim Jordan might be over the target thus making the people who live there suffer.
