One reason I always used to eat meat is because you need less of it than eating plants or fruits to sustain your body.
But lately I'm trying to take animals out of my diet. Just an experiment to see how my body and brain functions without it. I feel nothing special except craving after meat. Just like if you were addicted to sugar or beer and what not.
I'm also seeing many people debating that in the bible God says that fruits are our meat. Others are saying that God only allowed us to eat meat after Adam and Eva sinned.
So what do you think yourself is eating meat a sin or is veganism the latest psyop?
No I'm not eating ze bugs!..
Personally, I believe in eating meat. As a Christian, I think it's quite possible that originally, we weren't meant to because eating animals includes the act of violence of killing them in order to eat them. But after the fall, and sin entered the world, it was that very act of violence that allowed the innocent animal's blood to be spilled - which was the original penance for sin. (It was symbolic of Jesus's coming crucifixion and sacrifice - that He and His innocent blood would once, for all, be the sacrifice for all mankind.)
Jesus Himself said that it didn't matter what we ate (I'm talking about in terms of food) There were no prohibitions because it went into our bodies then came out of our bodies. And I believe there are nutrients and benefits you get from animal flesh that you don't from a 100% plant based diet. Btw, I was a vegetarian for a number of years. Good luck with your decision. Oh, as for the fruits being our meal, how many fruits grow in your region? These days, we can (and do) get fruit from around the world. Fruit from outside our regions (like bananas and pineapples and oranges, etc.) so do those get included? It's a lot to think about if you're not careful. And fruits alone obviously wouldn't give you all you need. Best wishes.
No, he didn't.
He literally did say exactly that.
Matthew 15:10-20
10 Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand. 11 What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.”
12 Then the disciples came to him and asked, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?”
13 He replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. 14 Leave them; they are blind guides.[d] If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
15 Peter said, “Explain the parable to us.”
16 “Are you still so dull?” Jesus asked them. 17 “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? 18 But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. 20 These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”
Context is important.
The Pharisees taught handwashing traditions that are not found in the Torah AKA Old Testament.
Matthew 15:1-3
1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
Eating food touched by hands not washed according to the tradition of the elders does not defile a man. That is the explanation of the parable.
Matthew 15:20
These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
You're one of the blind leading the blind if you teach Yahshua was talking about bacon here.
The Pharisees would have stoned his disciples if they were brazen enough to be eating pork in public. Logical thinking.
