as if they didn't realize the outfall of allowing hoodlums to run around with face coverings
To prevent robberies, “we are putting out a clear call to all of our shops, do not allow people to enter the store without taking off their face mask,” Mayor Eric Adams of New York City said. https://t.co/KbmBdyENjj

When I worked in Healthcare, until 2021, where I used to work at, they have very much a false sense of security. They only started hiring security from the local PD, state patrol and sheriff's dept when, in 2015, a guy threatened to stab the ER doc and the RN. One security guy for 12 hrs at night. That's it. Then, in 2021, a guy walked in the door and I was working and happened to be in the front. I asked how I could help. No response. Guy wore a surgical mask, sunglasses and a bandana on his head. He kept walking. Not allowed to stop him, it's a public hospital so assumed he had business with the nurses station. Multiple others let him walk past with no attention to suspicious behavior. Guy was allowed to go on the elevator into the basement and into the Respiratory Therapy director's office. He stole the directors wallet, broke into multiple offices, and he was not able to be identified because nobody paid attention except me, a support staff member. 26 people allowed it to happen. Makes it easier to identify a potential danger in a hospital, a government building, a bank, without a mask..because duh. Guy made it out without prosecution because no one paid attention to this guy when the masks were mandated.
