I really don't get any of this. All this peaceful, walking around taking selfies footage has been around from day one. Why wasn't it allowed as defense from the beginning? I remember seeing guards open the doors for protestors, yet it comes out as breaking news. Why didn't defense point this out during the trial?

I don't know what the defense teams tried to do or didn't try to do back then, but remember it was a shit storm of lies coming from the media at the time, which hasn't let up since. If people saw what really happened that day (hugs, prayer, togetherness against tyranny), the people would be even more together than they were in 2020. But we aren't more together, because half of the people still think Trump supporters met in the hundreds of thousands with the intention of burning down D.C. because they don't like free elections.

They didn't have enough footage obviously. Apparently, the J6ers refused to release any of the relevant surveillance footage to the defense lawyers....
