I see what you're saying,, but her delivery was honest and emotional and that's what made it endearing and convincing to an audience of (what I'm assuming was) mostly mothers. The aggressive tact you're describing works in some cases, but here she delivered exactly how she should have to make the audience listen.
Totally get it. But dropping 20 tons of scientific facts from a molecular and genetic level would just put an audience to sleep. They're not gonna change their minds with that.
She could have dropped the mic after her opening sentence.
