You are giving the textbook explanation. It simply does not satisfy the ridiculous claims of the spinning globe. These concepts are sound and observable. But they do not scale out to the insane requirements of the globe theory. Plus the water INSISTS that the earth is a flat creation. Earth is not even a "planet".
I learned that everything must be tested against the Word of God. and Then I discovered that Enoch is legitimate scripture. And then I was observing the stars and realized. Enoch was telling the truth, your teachers, not so much.
