Digital currency is coming regardless. Paying for crap by weight of shekels is never making a comeback, unless the world is bombed back into the stone age. Precious metals are important for emergencies but if you think whoever wins plans to go to a metal-coin-based economy, you're crazy. Even a totally Constitutional, Treasury-based, precious-metal backed dollar will eventually have a digital "bitcoin" aspect to it. Technology advances and convenience isnt automatically "the debbil".

That said, it would be nice if we avoided "social credit" and put protections in place to ensure account access cannot be cut off by the government.
