its possible. All the best healing aids have a somewhat anti-biotic/anti-parasitic effect.

Alcohol, ClO2/MMS, Silver, Gold, O2 therapy...As it just happens all of those are used on open wounds and kill both bad bacteria and parasites.

Radiation also kills bacteria/parasites, just kills the healthy cells too.
