What happened in Iraq? Well anti tank rounds made from beryllium where used. After tank battles, troops moved across the sands poisoned with atomized beryllium that troops breathed in while kicking up sand dust , and the government fought the vets on it till most of them died , like the government did with agent orange and purple in Vietnam.

Same thing happened in Yugoslavia too. NATO denied and ignored the troops effected by the shells until they were mostly ded.
