I was born in San Pedro, CA in 1952, when I was growing up it was just like "Father Knows Best" and "Leave it to Beaver". We never locked our doors and all the "moms" in the neighborhood made sure ALL the kids were fed and taken care of. I left in 1989 and moved to the NC mountains, best move I ever made.

Thank you for sharing Anon. I grew up in Sylmar next to San Fernando. We use to go to the San Fernando Swap Meet when it still had an Airport right by its side. I now live in Vancouver, Washington and I am thinking of moving yet again because of the DemonRats that run this state and are turning the beautiful scenery into a cesspool of homeless camps.
