St Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle...
🧘Mental/Physical Health 🏋🏼♂️
Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the Divine power of God, cast into hell Satan and all other evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
St. Michael, place your Shield of Truth over the heart of this nation. By the power of God, design circumstances which will reveal the evil in every heart. Make our nation secure once again through sound leadership and justified enforcement of law. Amen.
Lord, may truth and righteousness be victorious.
As far as I know, the Bible does not ask me to pray to an angel or a saint. Praying for someone is not the same as praying too someone. False equivalency.
Speaking of false equivalencies, are prayer and worship the same?
Prayer is a form of worship so...
Is it? What is worship? What is prayer? Can one pray without worshipping?
Not really. Someone asks you to pray for them? No different. Just because angels are in the spiritual realm, doesn’t mean they can’t hear you. Asking an Angel or other superior being in Heaven to ask God to do you a favor is exactly the same as a fellow human asking you to pray to God for them. Except better since they’re favored by God and don’t offend Him constantly like humans do. Satan and his demons surely hear you. They influence you daily.
"Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle..."is how that prayer starts. Not. Saint Michael, ask God to defend us in battle. This is a prayer too Saint Michael, and nothing in the scripture leads me to believe that I need anyone other than Jesus Christ to intercede on my behalf.
St Michael can’t do anything without God’s permission. So asking him to defend you in battle is just still asking God to send St Michael into battle for you.
God gave his only son in sacrifice to us so that we could have salvation through him. It is through Christ that we come to God. Christ is the only thing between you and God. There is no priest, no saint, or angel between you and God. That is the gift of salvation. Why would you put anything between you and God?
It certainly isn't the same thing,
