St Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle...
🧘Mental/Physical Health 🏋🏼♂️
Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the Divine power of God, cast into hell Satan and all other evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
St. Michael, place your Shield of Truth over the heart of this nation. By the power of God, design circumstances which will reveal the evil in every heart. Make our nation secure once again through sound leadership and justified enforcement of law. Amen.
Lord, may truth and righteousness be victorious.
I believe Satan would approve of anything that muddy's the waters between God's children and God. So yes, if Satan can lead some of God's children away he wins.
Nothing in the scriptures tells me I need to pray to angels and saints. And the scriptures do give examples of proper prayer.
The accuser would be in favor of your accusing God's children of practicing Satanism. Their hearts mean no harm.
Show me in the scriptures where it says to pray to angels and saints and then I will recant my statement. Bonus points for any commentary on idolatry. Otherwise, if you see a brother or sister straying from the path of righteousness, it is your duty as a Christian to try to correct that behavior.
In Revelation, John has a vision into Heaven and sees the Angels and Saints praying for the people on Earth, and offering our prayers to God.
Revelation 8:3-4
Revelation 5:8
St. Paul in Hebrews writes that we're surrounded by a "great cloud of witnesses."
Hebrews 12:1
St. Paul also tells us to make prayers for one another. If we are to pray for each other here on earth, how much more the Saints and Angels in heaven?
Thank you for this reply. And I accept that the saints have a part to play here, but nowhere in the verses you provided, does it say the saints bring our prayers to God.
Show me in the scripture where it says scripture is the only basis for Christianity? Oh wait, you can't. Because it doesn't. In fact, the Catholic Church canonized the very Bible you try to to claim contradicts it. This American protestant stuff gets so boring after a while.
