The PR impact for dems will not just be bad. It will be apocalyptic. Their support will completely collapse once people realized that they not only arrested an ex-president on bogus charges, they violated his rights in the process.

They would never have indicted him unless a sham conviction was a certainty. Of course it will be overturned on appeal.
