I think it's to bring the left to the same conclusions we have and get policy unanimity in the country.

The country was just on the cusp of legitimizing kidnapping "trans kids" to give them gender lobotomies without parental consent. Now the left sees that gee, it kinda fucking sucks to have your kids kidnapped and their brains get a few neurons of nuance on the issue.
