So trauma to a day-old baby boy's penis is insignificant? I wonder how many men would have been mentally better people if we were not subjected to such torture the day of our birth, I wonder how circumcision effects the mental health of men... We keep mutilating little children's penises and no one seems to mind, it makes me sick and I wonder if the gender roles were different how many females would protest against it? It is something to discuss, if we're to bring up child castration. To compare "which is worse"; child castration to baby genital mutilation is really stupid.. they are both barbaric and should be banned. If someone wants to have a surgery for medical reasons, that is for THAT PERSON to decide, not anyone else and should always be this way.
You might have a point I'm not sure. I know there are a lot of people who have been circumcised and I rarely hear a complaint. I don't know anyone who has suffered trauma from it as a child or adult. It may not be necessary but I don't know how much it matters. Don't take a pregnant women to a Jewish hospital I guess. Thanks for your response.
You tend to block out trauma especially if someone cuts your penis hours after you were born.. but what if a child didnt have to experience that pain? I want to know what effects of circumcision truly are to a baby and how it changes the brain and how it affects the baby later on in life. Because I really think that the less trauma we have, the healthier we will be mentally.

I lean toward agreeing with you.
