Dick's took a huge hit dropping guns, then opened Field and Stream when they realized guns make WAY more money in the midwest than golf clubs and athleisure wear, correctly gambling that people wouldn't connect the dots on who the owners are and simply would get excited about a new "gun/outdoor megastore" in the shopping mall. Then they doubled down and removed AR15s from F&S and started the losses all over again.
