To this point; Our son is now a PHD Biologist via the STEM program. When he left his undergraduate & was on his way through his masters, he still was "sane". He told us then, he was slightly nervous due to how grants worked, as well as pushing the same through the PHD. He could not publish anything that went against the mainstream narratives. So climate change for example. He knew nothing would get published if anything he published flew in the face of their narrative. Hence, no grant money and no PHD. He told us then that one of his main thesis that he was working, considering a certain salamander eco-system, flew directly in the face of the climate narrative. But it would never see day light. This was 8 years ago. Eventually, he caved and became one of [them]. We remember these conversations (multiple), however, of course, he claims otherwise. (he and his family a FULLY jabbed) So, no science ever got published and they won his heart and soul. Our science community is complete bull shit in my opinion and I trust NOTHING, ZERO, NADA coming out of any mainstream science.They own our once brilliant son.
I'm sorry. I got into graduate school because I was getting dubious about research and found it was exactly as your son described. That turned me against trusting research. All these researchers have built their own mental prison by depending on grant money which is given out by people with Agendas. One can only hope for a paradigm shift in the financing area. But I know more doctors who left medicine than researchers who could change.
Your story gives me hope. Maybe he will come to soon see his “mental prison”. Great term BTW.
Oddly, he has a younger sister. Hated college. Now a stay at home mom, with a wonderful, awake gun toting, Patriot God fearing husband and 2 pure blood (1 of which has never had her skin pierced by a needle) granddaughters. She is a wonderful young lady. Go figure. Same parents, same house…
He needs a new interest and new horizons. After all, there are probably things about his job which are rewarding and for that he puts up with the rest, like many people in every occupation.
I agree 100%. Outside of Trauma care, I really don't think there is any positives that mainstream medical provides - other than keeping people addicted, dumb, fat and hooked into the system. I am in my mid 50's and been to a "check-up" once in 33yrs. 75% of my acquaintances are on statins, fat, look like they are 15yrs older and look like shit. but they go to the drug dealers gremlins and get refills and surgeries!
Marcia Angell who was the editor of JAMA for years said this about American research some time ago.
