My story can never compare to those who have lost loved ones or those who now live with crippling side effects. That said, the San Francisco "health department" forced me to close my bar and restaurant for many months just as they did with thousands of other small business, To reopen the owners had to folllow ever changing and super expensive protocols. They coerced the hell out of me to coerce the hell out of my employees to get jabbed (I refused), The city and state "highly encouaged" us require vaccine passports from our patrons and issued thinly veiled threats that we'd be surveilled by the health department (I still refused). To top it all off, the city sent a quasi-legal letter that made it illegal for me to even work in my own place of business after reopening unless I got the jab (I didn't). What I did do is sell my business, my home and gave Kommifornia the middle finger in my rear view mirror in 2022 (best move ever). Sadly, there are still freedom loving American citizens stuck in California's democrat-controlled cities. Contrary to popular belief, these people exist even in San Francisco, they just keep a low profile as a matter of survival.
