The issue with the animal vaccines (for cats and small dogs especially) is that the manufacturer and laws don't account for animal weight. They give the same shot to a cat that they give to a big dog. My local vet started tracking injection sites for the mandatory shots and found a correlation that many of the animals developed tumors in those sites, frequently requiring amputation or surgery later in life to save the animal.
It's the same for many of the tick and flea treatments where you dump that pod on the back of their neck. If one pod can cover a 100lb dog, why do they recommend the same whole pod for a 10lb cat?
